Your Largest Organ in your body is your SKIN.
Experts, including Beth Ann's Therapeutic Massage, recommend exfoliation (Scrubs) no more than 3 to 4 times weekly in the Spring, Summer, and Fall. And exfoliation in the Winter of 0 to 2 times weekly. And to ALWAYS use a moisturizer after exfoliation.
We are well aware that some product distributors will tell you their product is so "blah-blah-blah" that you can use it daily. Or, "blah-blah-blah", no moisturizer is required. This is just wrong from a Physiology and Anatomy point of view, but completely fine from their sales and profit point of view.
Enough Said!
Scrubs are meant to Exfoliate dead skin cells from your body.
Moisturizers are meant to add moisture back into your skin. We have several forms of moisturizers - Gels (Thin Lotions), Salves (Thick Creams), Lotion Bars (Solid). Both Scrubs and Moisturizers have carrier oils to keep the contents together. They may also have various inert ingredients* such as essential oils, cocoa, coffee, seeds, sugar, salt, and herbs. The more liquid forms of moisturizers contain water and an emulsifier (like Beeswax) to help keep the water and oils mixed. The inert ingredients have no Therapeutic Effect nor are they intended for that purpose.
* The FDA defines any ingredients that it does not recognize as having any Therapeutic Effect as being an INERT INGREDIENT.
