Certified Personal Trainers - CPT

Certified Personal Trainers require many hours of course work and testing to be deemed as "Certified" versus a Personal Trainer, which can be a self declared title.  Most everyone associates a Certified Personal Trainer, CPT,  with various sports and fitness level goals; whether the sports are individual or team.  Fortunately for Beth A Borecky's people, she has other skills that can enhance the CPT training.  We discuss dual certification below.

Certified Personal Trainers are concerned with the sports aspects like the pictures in the header and be defined by how they interact with these folks. A certified personal trainer helps individuals achieve their fitness goals by designing personalized workout plans, providing guidance on proper exercise techniques, and offering support and motivation.
They assess clients' fitness levels, set goals, and develop programs to improve strength, endurance, and overall well-being.

The lines blur a bit for Beth A. Borecky, as her Massage folks are patients and technically her CPT folks are clients.  To make life simpler, all the folks she deals with are treated as Patients, which means confidentiality is maintained for everyone.  Generally we refer to them below as "Individuals" to un-blur the lines.  Here's a more detailed look at what a Beth A Borecky does as a certified personal trainer:

3. Instruction and Motivation:
  • Teach clients proper exercise techniques, form, and safety protocols to ensure safe and effective workouts.
  • Provide motivation and encouragement to help individuals stay committed to their fitness journeys.
4. Progress Tracking and Evaluation:

  • Adjust programs as needed to ensure individuals continue to make progress and stay motivated.
5. Nutritional Guidance:
  • Offer basic nutritional guidance to complement fitness programs and support overall health and wellness goals.
  • Provide general recommendations on healthy eating habits.
  • Beth has been known to be in individuals ear while they shop for food to build up their bodies and core and avoid that bad comfort food.  She may offer insight as to the effects of the comfort food, like "an extra 3 hours on the treadmill per ice cream bar!"
6. Additional Responsibilities:

  • Offer services like group fitness classes or workshops.
